ABOUT DOCTOR
Dr Ganesh Jaishetwar is working as Consultant in Department of clinical Hematology and Bone marrow transplant, at Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, Hyderabad since 2013. He completed his MBBS from J.N. Medical college, Wardha, Maharashra in 2001. He qualified as MD from Topiwala National Medical college and B.Y.L. Nair Hospita in 2006. He then pursued further training in Haematology at Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, Kolkata. He obtained his DM degree in Clinical Haematology from Medical college Hospital in 2011. After completing his training from Kolkata, He joined prestigious Tata Medical centre as Post doctoral Trainee in Hematology & BMT and worked with father of haematology in India Prof Mammen Chandy. During this period team performed various types of transplants (Autologus, Allogenic, Haplo and MUD transplant) with very good result. He then pursued further training in Leukemias and Bone Marrow Transplants and completed Fellowship in Leukemia and BMT in the prestgious University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
He has presented many scientific paper at various national and international society like ASBMT, EBMT, EHA, APICON, ISHBT etc. His special interests include Acute leukemia, Stem cell transplantation, Anemias, Platelet disorders, Aplastic anemia, Sickle Cell Disease and benign hematological consults.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
1.Undergraduate : Five and a half years (1995 to 2001) of undergraduate medical education at the J.N. Medical College, Wardha. One year rotating internship in medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and community medicine. One year Rural Medical Officership at Primary Health Care Center, Kelwali in Ratnagiri District.
2. Post Graduate : Three years( 2003 to 2006) training in Pathology & Hematology at T.N. Medical College, Mumbai with postings in specialties: Hemato-Pathology & Clinical Hematology.
3. Specialty Training : One year(2007 to 2008) training in Department of Haematology at IHTM, Medical College Hospital, Kolkata. Three years (2008 to 2011) DM Programme in Clinical Haematology at Institute of Hematology & Transfusion Medicine (IHTM), Kolkata. Training in general hematology and clinical management of patients with hematologic malignancy, coagulation disorders, and general hematology problems. Laboratory experience with bone marrow and peripheral smear examination, immunophenotyping, Cytogenetics, Molecular studies in leukemia and Coagulation laboratory. Experience in clinical bone marrow transplantation of both Benign and Malignant Haematological disorder. Two years (2011-2012) worked as Post Doctoral Fellow in Tata Medical Centre Kolkata. In 2012, Fellowship in Leukemias and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Prestigious University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
